Streaks Rated #10

Galesburg is ranked #10 in the Illinois AP rankings. This is the 18th year that GHS has been ranked in the top ten in Illinois. This is the 16th time in the last 21 years GHS has been ranked in the top ten. Perhaps more impressive, Galesburg has been ranked in the top twenty in Illinois in 25 of the last 27 years. The highest rankings for the Streaks has been #1 which was achieved in 1997 and 1999.

It is interesting that 9 of our 30 regular season games will be played vs. teams ranked in 4A and 3A. 3 of our losses are vs. ranked 4A teams.

The Galesburg High School girls basketball team is ranked 10th in the Class 3A Associated Press poll announced Tuesday.
Here are the girls polls with rank, team, first-place votes, record and total points as selected by sportscasters and sports writers from around the state.
