Streaks Over Normal W

4 juniors who had big games for us at West.

We played well in our win over Normal West. Our pressure defense was probably the best it has been all year. We forced an incredible 45 turnovers with Jessica Lieber and Sharron Diggins leading us with 6 steals. In addition, we got 57% of our missed shots back as offensive rebounds with Myra Diggins leading the way with 6, and Chloe Anderson and Jessica Lieber each having 4 steals. These totals allowed us to get 27 more shot attempts than West.

In particular our guards of Allison Mangieri, Dani Teel, Rainee Sibley, Sharron Diggins all were great up front in our press.



The first quarter was played pretty evenly, but we had a huge 2nd quarter. We outscored West 26-10 in the second quarter to take a 40-21 half time lead. At the end of the third quarter we again went on a huge run, do up our lead at the end of the quarter to 60-35.

In double figures for Galesburg were Sharron Diggins 20, Jessica Lieber 15, and Sadee Hamilton 10.

Galesburg finally returns home with a game Thursday vs UT at 5:30 and 7pm.
