Streaks Come From Behind At Quincy

Quincy jumped out to an early lead, then built a 9 point half time lead 34-25. Quincy is much improved, and played a tough defense. The Streaks came back with a great 3rd quarter, and then held on in the fourth quarter. Despite only making 7 three point shots, we were able to find a consistent offense in the second half.

Our pressure was outstanding in the second half. Rainee Sibley and Sharron Diggins forced 2 five second violations in the second half. Sharron and Jessica Lieber combined for 4 steals in the press that resulted in quick layups off the steals.

The key area for us was our ability to hit the offensive boards. Myra Diggins was her usual outstanding self on the o-bds. Dani Teel had a couple big o-bds, and Chloe Anderson had a play that showed our second half energy. Chloe went to the line and missed her ft, but she was the one that got the o-reb and put it back up, only to be fouled and shoot 2 more ft's. I have not done our stats, but late in the game the radio said we had 31 o-reb.

We had some timely threes. Allison Mangieri 2, Jessica Lieber 4, and Rainee Sibly 1.

I will rewrite this when I get official stats done, but Sadee Hamilton had a dominant game. With unofficial stats, Sadee had 15+ rebounds, 9 steals, 9 points, and 5 blocks. And to top it off she handled the ball a lot. It was a great effort by Sadee.
