Normal Alignment- The normal alignment would have two post players at the elbows.
Adjusted Alignment- Instead of putting two posts at the elbows, put an active driver at the elbow. In this case it is #1. It is an opportunity to put an active driver or simply a good mismatch at the elbow. By a good mismatch- pick a player being guarded by a bigger, slower defender.
Ball to Driver- We look to enter the ball to the quick, driver.
Post Dive- On the catch, the post at the opposite elbow is going to dive across the lane.
Catch and Go- The active player may not even look at the post diving, because we want them to catch and go. We hope to create the typical dribble-drive finish options- 1) Layup, 2) Kick to #2 in corner, 3) dump to #5 for layup.
