X/O’s- Warriors Go To Play

Golden State initiates their favorite play with ball somewhere in the wing area. They have the ball at the wing area, two players at the top on the ball side, and two offensive players on the helpside.

If there are two shooters on the weakside, they space on the arc. If it is a non-shooter, they go to the dunker spot.

To get into the alignment, they can do it with handoff action.

To get into the alignment, they can do it with a ball screen.

To get into the alignment, they can do it with pass entry.

The basic action if to screen away for a shooter at the top of the key area. Often the #4 would be Draymond Green or Jimmy Butler, slipping to go to the basket.

If #4 is hit going on the slip and help comes, he will dump to the dunker or skip to shooters on the help side.

As most teams work to switch the screen action, #2 can fake the cut and go backdoor.

On the switch, if the screen defender is slow on the switch #2 will fade off the screen for the shot.

The whole action can be changed into a dribble hand off action.
