Many teams run a point guard rub action, where the point guard hits a post at the elbow area, then cuts off them for a handoff. Sometimes the handoff is a great play, but often if the post hangs on and WAITS, the point guard will be open cutting to the basket.
Figure 1- The point guard cuts, the post doesn’t hand off, instead hangs on and hits the point guard as they continue their cut. It seems simple but it works.
