  1. Thanks for sending this out. This is a good one, Coach. Hard to beat an old Firefighter on his streets. Believe I got them all and perhaps (?) a couple more based on your wording of questions. #4 - Treadwell Drive, the road that goes around Lincoln Park Drive. #5 - I would lobby for "Olive" being a color, especially being from Abingdon where the Commando colors were once the Olive and the Rose. #8 - Spoken like a typical northsider...S Cedar by your alma mater Knox College. And Academy actually has two crossing, north and south. #9 - maybe a stretch, but do Seminary and Academy as part of the names of old schools of learning count? Fun! Keep 'em coming.

    1. Man, you make me feel like I am from Quincy. Amy and I had fun doing this and thought we had it. I didn’t think of Lake Storey or Lincoln Park. And you are right about not thinking of the south side crossings. I can’t buy the Academy and Seminary. As much as it pains me to accept Olive with its Abingdon connection- I accept it. Also, according to AI, I missed pearl as a color too. I am guessing a matter of days before Redfern fires me!

  3. Evan, I have enjoyed all of your quizzes, especially this one on street names. I’ll give you a question that has to do with directional street names, even though you claim that West Street isn’t directional. Here’s the question: my mother grew up in a house that sat three houses south of the southwest corner of West South and South West. What building presently sits at that location? You’ve even been in it quite a few times.

  5. Right. My 8 year old grandson is intrigued by the fact that there is a southwest corner of West South and South West; also a northwest corner of West North and North West. He has me drive by those places every time that he is in town.
