I love to hear from people after I write something, especially if it is positive. After reading the story about Harley Knosher and the Bucks Camps, Scott Shaver sent me some items he found digging thru his memorabilia.
Those who attended Bucks Camps will remember the classic award certificates for contests.
The group pictures were part of a booklet they produced after camp. Don’t be fooled by the names of “Atlanta”, “Boston,” etc. Players were placed in a group for skills work, and placed on a team for games. Depending on a players age, the names were either college or pro teams names.
I really appreciate Scott sharing these items. Also, Scott was the one who suggested to me that I needed to do a story on Ian Davies. That was a great idea. The story on Ian will be coming out on WGIL this coming week.
