Coaches’ Corner- Iverson Curl with Fade into Screen the Screener

After running an Iverson cut, the team can have the cutter curl to the basket, which can lead to an easy layup.

In this case, an added action gets the team into a screen the screener action.

Figure 1- The players start a standard Iverson cutting action.

Figure 2- #2 makes the curl off #5 to the basket.

Figure 3- As soon as #2 cuts off #5, #5 will step up and set a fade screen for #1. As #1 catches the ball, the side will actually be cleared out because #2 will be started up the lane. #1 can look to drive.

Figure 4- #2 screens #4 for a basket cut, and then #5 will clean it up with a screen for #2 to pop up.
