Coaches’ Corner- Fever Horns Set w/ Side Ball Screen for Clark

This is a nice action the Fever use with Clark as point guard to get her to her into a side ball screen off an Iverson cut. 

Figure #1- Clark dribbles to a wing, the opposite wing uses the posts to get open at the top. 

Figure #2- After reversing the ball, Clark cuts across on an Iverson cut. 

Figure #3- As Clark completes the Iverson cut, #4 immediately sets a screen for #5 to come to the ball.

Figure #4- #5 can set the ball screen on Clark and then roll. In this case, as the post defenders get out of position on the cross screen and then scramble to get in position to defend the ball screen, #5 is open for the slip or ghost screen. 

In the game I watched, the Fever scored a layup on this every time they ran it. Unfortunately they must have been saving it, they only ran it once the entire night.
