The AP Rankings for Jan 14 have come out. Some highlights…
** 4A Girls- Galesburg’s Saturday opponent remains ranked #4.
** 3A Girls- Morton with their win over Washington jumped over both Washington and Galesburg into the #1 spot.
** 3A Girls- Morton (1), Washington (2), Galesburg (3), Dixon (6), Peoria ND (8), Sterling (11) are all in the same Sectional. So there are 8 Sectionals, and 6 of the top 11 team are in the same Sectional.
** 3A Girls- Galesburg and Sterling are the only girls or boys WB6 teams receiving votes in the AP State Polls.
** 1A Girls- A-Town comes in at #6.
** 3A Boys- E.Peoria (8), Morton (9), Metamora (10), and Washington (16) are all in the Mid-Illini Conf.
** 3/4A- All of the Peoria public schools are ranked- 4A-Richwoods (14), 3A-Peoria (12), 2A- Manual (2).
** Numbers of voters- Girls- 1A-5, 2A-8, 3A-7, 4A-6. Boys- 1A-10, 2A-11, 3A-10, 4A-10.
