Legends- 2025 IBCA HOF Inductions

The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association inducted coaches, players, teams, and media into the IBCA Hall of Fame. Some people that I would like to recognize:

Joey Range-
Joey graduated from GHS in 1998 as the all-time Streaks leading scorer with 2,390 points. He led the Streaks in ‘98 to a 2nd in State finish. Joey is one of only 4 boys basketball players at WB6 schools to have scored 2,000 points: 1- Isaiah Rivera (Gen) 2,486, 2- Joey Range (Gal) 2,390, 3- Chasson Randle (RI) 2,159, 4- Bruce Douglas (Q) 2,040.

Barry Swanson-
Barry coached at Lombard Jr High, Galesburg HS, Carl Sandburg College, and Knox College. He coached 12 years as varsity head coach at Galesburg. Only Gerald Phillips and John Thiel coached longer at GHS. Barry’s teams went 203-119 while winning 5 Regional championships.

Todd Olinger-
Todd was inducted for his service and commitment to the sport as an official. He had a long distinguished career and has worked several IHSA State Tourneys.

Steve Ford-
Steve coached girls basketball at Moline for 17 years and just finished his 5th year at Alleman. During his career his teams have gone 447-233 while winning 12 Regionals and 3 Sectional championships. Coach Ford is without a doubt one of the most respected coaches in the WB6, not only for his ability to produce winners but the class that he and his teams always exhibit.
