Typically, I study very little outside of the homework that is assigned. For me, all I need to do is do the homework and practice the extra homework the teacher assigned. I usually have around 2 tests each week, but varies due to the rigorous courses I'm taking. My toughest class is probably AP Literature, simply because of the strict grading and how tough the class is.

What’s the best sporting event you have attended as a spectator?
The best sporting event that I have ever attended is definitely when I went to Milwaukee to watch James Harden on the Rockets vs. Giannis Antetokounmpo in 4th grade with my point guard, Keigen Crummer. I feel like looking back on this memory is so joyful, and it makes me remember how fun the NBA was to watch when I was a kid and the best players were still on their somewhat-original teams.
What’s one of your most thrilling experiences as an athlete?
The most exhilarating moment of my basketball career takes me back to when I was a sophomore playing varsity in the annual Turkey Tournament. We were playing Chicago Wells, whom had 2 very good soon-to-be college basketball players. It was also the Hall of Fame night, so there were a lot of people at the game to support. It was pretty much neck and neck through the first half, but we found ourselves down by roughly 20 in the third. We managed to come back and force overtime with our plan of fouling out their highly skilled stretch post player. We pulled out with a hard-fought win. I believe we made history in the biggest comeback at GHS.

What’s one of your most thrilling experiences as an athlete?
Personally, a thrilling experience for me is making comebacks from previous mistakes. Continuing to grow as a player has always helped me develop as a person on and off the court. During games when we are down by a lot then come back, learning from previous games, and even learning during a game helps me continue to improve my skills. Improvement has always been my biggest goal, as well as a challenge. My stepdad always tells us to be comfortable being uncomfortable, and I try really hard to remember that on the hardest days. It continues to make me a better player and person.

Before the game we had a shoot around at East but there was a JROTC competition and we could shoot until right before we had to get on the bus. We couldn’t find our bus because there were so many buses parked outside of the school. When we were warming up at the Denver Coliseum the lights and the atmosphere felt like a movie. We ended up losing that game but we were playing the number 2 ranked player in the country. It was nerve racking and exciting.
