This is a basic ob set that the Fever use that has multiple options. The basic set is designed to try to get an open shooter on the perimeter and a player cutting to the basket.
Figure #1- This is the basic set. On a high school level, you need to make sure #4 on the baseline is a shooting threat. If you have to, you should move #3 or #2 to that spot. So you would put the non-shooter in #2’s spot.
Figure #2- The basic option is to have #3 cut off screens from #2 and #5. After they screen, #5 needs to roll to the basket.
Figure #3- In this option, #3 cuts but curls to screen for #2 to be the one to go off #5’s screen.
Figure 4- #3 cuts first but curls off #5, and #2 then cuts off #5’s screen.
Figure 5- As soon as the ref hands the ball to #1, #2 just cuts hard to the weakside of the basket. Indiana gets this once every other game it seems.
Figure 6- This is how it is run to set up a zoom action for #5 and #1. So for the Fever this is Boston and Clark.
Figure 7- The ball is inbounded to #3 and they immediately pass to #5.
Figure 8- #3 screens down on #1 to start the zoom action.
Figure 9- #3spaces to the corner, #1 comes for the DHO.
Figure 10- 5 rolls, 3 lifts.
