Coaches’ Corner- We want our players to be able to react to defensive overplays and go backdoor. But sometimes as coaches, we want to set up a backdoor action. This is a simple backdoor action.
Figure 1- Out of a horns set, the point guard takes the ball one direction. The opposite post steps out for a reverse pass.
Figure 2- #4 immediately takes the ball on the dribble at #2. Both #4 and #2 are making it look like a dribble hand off action. #2 will simply plant and go backdoor.
