This is a nice action that college teams are using to get into a zoom action out of an out of bounds set.
Figure 1- It doesn’t matter what set you initially use- box set or flat set.
Figure 2- The key is to get to this alignment with #5 having the ball. It looks like a stagger is set up for #3 to come off #1 and #4.
Figure 3- Instead of going off the stagger, #3 curls around #1 to set a screen for #1 to come up off the zoom action.
Figure 4- The side is cleared for #1 to shoot or drive. On the college level, most teams have their shooter not their point guard coming up for the handoff.
