“Athletes’ Insights” is a feature that I am going to do this winter. This is a group of about 10 athletes. I plan to ask them to share their thoughts every two weeks throughout the winter. I think it will fun to hear from athletes.

I participate in wrestling and softball.
What classes are you taking?
Some classes I am taking are art, choir, and cooking.
What is your favorite class?
My all-time favorite is definitely cooking because I get to eat a lot of food.
Do you have any sports idols?
One of my idols is definitely Kennedy Blades.
Do you have a quote, saying, or verse that motivates or guides you?
My favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is all you need , for my power is the greatest when you are weak.”

Right now I am currently taking 6 classes which include, English 12, AP Human Geography, Painting, Literacy and Stats, Health, and Advance Sports Training
What has been your favorite class?
Definitely my Sophomore year Physics class. I had fun everyday in that class.
Do you have any sports idols?
Definitely, Stephen Curry is for sure my sports idol, love the way he plays and moves off the ball and can shoot from anywhere on the floor at anytime.
Do you have a quote, saying, or verse that motivates or guides you?John 13:7 “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”
This verse has stuck with me a long time now, sometimes I may question why this is happening or how, but remembering this verse will always help me understand why!

My all time favorite class is wood-working.

Steph Curry because of the discipline of how he practices his shot. Jaylyn Sherrod because she went undrafted but worked her way to being a part of the New York Liberties championship team.

I wrestle and play soccer.

I take CEO Program, AP physics, AP Literature, AP Psychology, Sports training and Pre-calc.
What has been your all-time favorite class?
My all time favorite class so far has been American Century with Mr. Wolfe.
Do you have any sports idols?
My sports idols consist of Lionel Messi who plays soccer, and Vito Arujau a wrestler.

My favorite quote as of these recent days that has been keeping me motivated has to be, “ Life is coming from you, not at you” - Timothy Chalemet. This quote changes perspective on my relationship to the things that are out of my control, along with my happiness and contentment with all that I do!

I play football, basketball and baseball.
What classes are you taking?
I take Honors English, Sports Training P.E, Consumer Ed, Chemistry, Honors Algebra 2, Spanish and Intro to Family and Consumer Science.
What is your all-time favorite class?
With that said, my favorite class that I have had of all time has been my chemistry class so far.
Do you have a sports idol?
An idol that I have would be Kobe Bryant because of his mentality and hard work.
Do you have a quote, saying, or verse that you use for motivation and guidance?
A quote that I like is from Kobe Bryant when he said “ I don’t want to be the next Michael Jordan, I only want to be Kobe Bryant”. I like this quote because it is pretty much saying not to compare yourself to others.

I really like chemistry, so my Intro to Chemistry class was fun. I also enjoy my Anatomy and Physiology class a lot too.

I do not have really any sport idols, but I do enjoy watching Paige Bueckers. I like her play style a lot.

Do you have a sports idol?
Kevin Durant because of his love for the game and his determination to get to the point of his life he's in currently. I love his quote, "Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard."
Do you have a quote, saying, or verse that motivates and guides you?
I have made a quote I routinely use for motivation is "Give it all you have because you only get one chance." I use this because of my past experiences and how it has forced me to take a look at life from a different perspective.
