Today I got to go to Thiel Gym to watch Denver East’s Olivia Hanlon work out. Olivia is Class of 2028 and the daughter of Sean and Karla (Emery) Hanlon (GHS Class of 1995). It was fun to watch her as she made 200 threes. Her grandpa and I solved a lot of world problems as we watched!
Then Coach Thiel was having an open gym for the Streaks. So I have a picture of three Silver Streaks legends- Taylor Thiel (Class of ‘98), Sean Hanlon (Class of ‘95), and Joey Range (Class of ‘98). These three produced a lot of buckets and a lot of wins for the Silver Streaks!
Olivia and I thank you, Coach! So great spending time with you, Joey and Taylor in Thiel Gym on Evan Massey Court! So great being back in that gym rebounding for my daughter. Good for the soul. Long live hoops!
ReplyDeleteGlad it worked out- she is not afraid to work. I think she can probably help you with your shot!!!
DeleteThere is no doubt about that!
DeleteLove it! Legends all.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how the three picked up like they were back in high school- fun to see them interact!!
DeleteHow cool was that!! Great to see the connection of Silver Streak ball. One of my fond memories of an open gym was a freezing day in January. A young Sean Hanlon and Ted Trueblood were the only 2 who braved the conditions. Just remember how proud I was of those young men and their work ethic that day.
