Being able to participate on the Varsity Basketball and Baseball Teams. I didn’t have much playing time but I met and played with really good players and made plenty of friends through sports at GHS! Enjoyed being in choir for 3 years as well!

What did you do right after high school?

My Coach was Jimmy Isaacson and my pitching coach, who really helped me was Rick HULICK (By the way Rick was 25-0 career in Legion and was on 1970 State Championship Team!

I lost to Peoria Legion who was 45-0 and lost on a 2- hitter in Perry Illinois in the Divisional Tournament Championship! During mid summer beat the Macomb Legion and Former MLB (Phillies/ Mariners), Missouri and Macomb standout Phil Bradley 3-1 on a 3 hitter.

Coach Dick Pawlow was attendance was offered a baseball scholarship to attend Western Illinois University. and was very blessed and fortunate to play with Galesburg teammates, Eric Doss & Bob Berry! (1977-1979).

I played two years for Galesburg Pioneers 1977-78.

Where and what did you do for your career?

I worked 20 years for Office Depot Corporate Headquarters in Boca Raton Florida! I was in Supply Chain and Logistics my whole career!  I was bought out in 2014 when they merged with Office Max.

I was fortunate during my years in Dallas to officiate High School and College Division 2 basketball! I worked the 1995 Texas UIL High School 6A All Star Game at Daniel Meyer Colosseum at TCU! Also worked 8 years for the Dallas Mavericks training camps 1991-1998 and met some really great coaches and players!

Tell me what your are up to and about your family.

In 1980 I was offered a tryout from a scout for the California Angels and worked out for 4 months in California and had arm problems and was released! At that point, I moved to Texas in 1981 lived in Houston until 1984 worked for Brown and Root Engineering!

In1985 moved to Dallas where I met my wife Diedra and married in 1986 in Dallas. She passed away from cancer in 2002 in Boynton Beach Florida.
