They had a star defensive end in J.J. Watt. They had 3 great running backs in John Clay, James White and Montee Ball. John Clay was the Big Ten offensive player of the year last year. James White was Freshman of the Year this year. Yet, winning no awards, going up against those two running backs and the whole season as the third string tailback, somehow Monte Ball lead the team in rushing yards this season and started in the Rose Bowl.
None of the people I mentioned were seniors. JJ Watt might go pro next year. Wisconsin will have some big shoes to fill in Scot Tolzien, and most of the defensive secondary. But they have great talent in the people mentioned earlier, also in Nick Toon and David Borland. But this group was a special group that made you proud to be a Badger!
